Today I am focusing on another of my favourite online boutiques. I’m definitely one of those people who prefers to have a leisurely browse at home from the comfort of my duvet (I know, I take laziness to the next level!) rather than devote hours to trawling the stores. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a day spent at the shops as much as the next, but as Ella at Belle Vintage demonstrates, having an online store makes it much easier to pick and choose between your favourite items.
Belle Vintage is run by the lovely Ella, who I’ve actually known for a few years through college. What I love the most about Belle Vintage is that Ella’s passion and love for secondhand clothing completely shines through in everything that she does, whether on her website, blog or Twitter, and she emphasises a high turnover with low-profit, keeping prices low and perfect for us students! Ella also recently reached the finals of a business competition at Uni, winning a grant to spend on her business venture to further herself.
As much as I adore the High Street, I am always enthralled by Belle Vintage’s huge collection of vintage clothing. Ella has amazing taste and a real eye for pieces that will come into trend, which I think is key for such a boutique. “People have told me that they don’t see vintage clothing as accessible and it can be a little intimidating.” says Ella. “That makes me so disappointed, but also excited to show people how easy it is to incorporate vintage into your everyday wardrobe. I find it so rewarding to hear how happy customers are with their pieces, the history of that piece will just continue to grow.”
Prices are very reasonable, and for those who hate paying shipping prices like myself, P&P is even more reasonable! Additionally, Belle Vintage currently have a charity sale, so half of the proceeds made from your order will be donated to Breakthrough Breast Cancer research, keeping the morals of thrifting and secondhand clothing very true to itself. Below are some of my current favourite pieces in-store now:
Belle Vintage’s mission statement: “I have always had a love for the classic nature of vintage clothing and the history and story behind every piece. Vintage clothing is also made to last, but the most appealing factor to me is how unique vintage clothing and accessories are. Many people feel confident wearing vintage as they know they are likely to be the only one with that unique piece.”
Ella will be restocking daily after the University exam period, so don’t forget to follow her on Twitter and her other social media accounts for the latest news and exclusive items/offers. For now, you can use ‘DAISYBUTTER’ at checkout for an exclusive 10% discount (: Go and get your Belle Vintage on, girls!
