A randomly-but-only-to-be-expected blustery day in England day calls for a demure outfit of jeans and a jumper. The wind and rain had me awake at about 4am according to my trusty new Sleep Cycle phone app! It was relatively funny to see everyone’s ‘ohmagadz the world is ending!!’ Facebook statuses: my news feed never fails to amuse. Enough of the weather garble, I wore this to meet my friend Natasha for a long overdue coffee date this morning, and it kept me nearly warm with an added scarf (this one) and my usual Topshop duffle coat.
(Fan-stitch knitted jumper, Unnamed via Hong Kong;
Peach sheer shirt, New Look;
Heattech top – underneath, Uniqlo;
Corduroy jeans/leggings, River Island;
Aggie boots, ASOS;
Pumpkin carriage necklace, c/o Ever Ours.)
I feel seriously girly and a little too cutesy in this jumper and shirt combination, but I really like it with my new favourite jeans. This is probably one of my favourite outfits that I’ve worn in a little while actually, it’s seriously comfy and any outfit that features my most overworn shirt is a good one in my books! I’m also in half a mind to permanently borrow this knitted top from my sister – clothes always feel 100% better when they’re not yours. Had to wear my Aggie boots to toughen the look up a little, although I wore my flat boots to town in the torrential rain!
Can’t believe it took me all Winter to finally try out Costa’s black forest hot chocolate, I’m probably going to be in mourning when their Christmas menu stops running. I’ve always preferred Starbucks or Pret a Manger by way of overpriced, commercialised coffee goodness, but Costa is as good as it gets back at home! Indulged in a huge cup this morning while catching up with Natasha about potential Gossip Girl return scenarios – two weeks to go! – and other little tidbits.
