riad ˈriːad/ (n.) – in Morocco, a large traditional house built around a central courtyard, often converted into a hotel.
Keeping with the culture and clothing ‘expectations’ in Morocco, I covered up a fair bit for the duration of our travels. A maxi dress layered underneath my printed cropped top provided a nice base to combat warmer weather whilst looking conservative, and of course I had a jacket on when venturing into the Medina. I also layered two of my favourite necklaces by Little Nell for a touch of style – holidays are always a tough one to weather in terms of accessorising, but these were both easy to transport in a little pouch. The Gold Karma Circle Necklace is my absolute go-to at the moment!
My shoes were gifted to me by Clarks shortly before I finished
wedging my things in a suitcase packing my holiday wardrobe. I sacrificed a jumper (more on that later…) in order to get these in there and wore them for a total of about 4 hours on our last day. Go figure. But seriously, they’re OH so comfy and I just love the patent and suede texture mix. Classic Clarks comfort teemed with a new season twist, and I must admit I’m feeling good vibes towards that brand for the first time in a long time.
As I mentioned, I’m busy compiling lots of travel blog posts at the moment, as well as getting excited for my birthday on Sunday! The remainder of my week is certainly going to be spent listening to Taylor Swift’s ’22’ on repeat, spamming up Instagram again, seeing one of my best girls Florence for drinks, catching up with Winnie, Mandy and Zoe… oh and making one big, big purchase. All my love ladies, share your stories and new posts with me — I can’t wait to catch up with you all too! x
