For me, once my birthday has passed, it’s a one-stop train towards spring in March and so I wanted to shine the beauty light on some products that epitomise my early spring makeup mood.
Lately I’ve been into polished but natural brows, dramatic lashes and a lit-from-within glow. With the frankly awful weather we’ve had in England, my skincare has been all over the place (think desperately trying to keep my skin hydrated instead of adding glow) and so things like radiance, etc. have had to come from my makeup. Basically, Glossier’s Haloscope in Quartz has been applied with vigour almost every morning.
Meet my March makeup medley.
Glossier’s Generation G in Cake
I can’t quite remember whether I’ve spoken about this online yet, but I’m obsessed with Glossier’s Generation G lipstick. I picked up the shade ‘Cake’ in a pre-Christmas order and have worn it religiously. It’s a total my-lips-but-better shade that you’ll probably think you can go without, but this one just has a certain something about it: whether it’s the matte finish or the slight peach tint, I’ll never know. This has been my most reached for lip hue since November and I can’t see that changing for a while!

Etude House’s Drawing Eye Brow
My favourite eyebrow pencil by far is Etude House’s Drawing Eye Brow and I’m over the moon that they’re now cruelty-free! (I’ve been using up products with a view to not purchasing non-cruelty free products as of 2017.) I use their cool-toned brown shade and find it is incredibly long-lasting, pigmented and great to apply. These days, I’m favouring a soft arch shape with a slightly wider and fuller look.

Eyeko’s Bespoke Mascara
I featured this in last month’s makeup medley, but thought it was worth mentioning twice. Combined with my Shu Uemura eyelash curler, I just find my chosen Bespoke Mascara formula is great at keeping a curl in place and mimicking a fuller set of lashes. I’m even enjoying the slightly clumped look for a messier, never-perfect effect. Eyeko are currently offering a FREE travel-sized sport mascara with every order at the moment too, what an amazing bonus!
Illamasqua Powder Blush in Naked Rose
To complete my monthly look, I’ve been totally in love with my age-old Naked Rose blush. I gave it a quick sanitise with an alcohol wipe and have been applying this to the apples of my cheeks for a springtime flush. Paired with my beloved Glossier Haloscope highlight, you’d never know we were practically still in the depths of winter!
What’re you wearing on your face this month?
