En route home from our weekend away, Harvey and I decided to spend our Sunday afternoon in Shoreditch, a nostalgic throwback to our earliest dates when he lived in East London. The reason? To get balls deep at Ballie Ballerson with bottomless brunch. No, really.
Ballie Ballerson is a ball pit cocktail bar situated in Shoreditch, boasting retro sweetie cocktails, a huge ball pit and the ideal adults’ playground. And from just £20, you can enjoy bottomless pizza brunch at the weekend. Staying in trendy Shoreditch this summer? Let me tell you why you should book for this weekend…
We set up camp at a bar table by the window and wolfed down two entire pizzas, their spinach and artichoke pizza and classic margarita which were both delicious. One of my favourite parts about any bottomless brunch is the sheer fun of never seeing the bottom of your glass. The staff were incredible at whipping around the room and topping everybody up with pizzas and beverages, never missing a beat when it came to the entire room’s dietary preferences.
It’s worth noting that the entire vibe at Ballie Ballerson is a bar/club set-up. You can choose to simply sit, eat, drink and gossip with your friends – because it is definitely a group eats kinda place! – or go wild and dart around the room. The room is also home to a wheel of fortune game and, of course, the ball pit!
The ball pit was so much fun. Surrounded by dancing neon lights, mirrored walls, a 70-metre glowing UV mural, and enough balls to keep anybody satisfied, it’s the perfect way to let your hair down and be completely ridiculous with your friends. Harvey and I indulged in several diving sessions, ball fights and Boomerang opportunities!
Once your two-hour slot is up, a member of staff will whip around the room and kindly ask you to finish up your drinks and food and make your way to the exit. And two hours is certainly more than enough for you to fill up on pizza, find yourself just a touch tipsy, and continue on to your next East London adventure! (We headed down to Spitalfields Market for a tipsy shopping wander!)
