So, hands up if you’ve been an awful blogger recently…
I’ve been so absent from Daisybutter over the past week, eek. I hadn’t planned to leave it so long between posts either: I’ve just been exhausted all the time, and haven’t had any time over the weekend to post anything substantial due to being back at work again.
I’ll have to apologise again in advance, because I’m going to be at a wedding tomorrow, and probably won’t get the chance to post then either.
(Pink scallop edged dress, Topshop;
Black bow belt, taken from the Blair Waldorf dress – Gossip Girl for Miss Selfridge collection;
Round toe court heels, Red Herring at Debenhams.)
As I said, tomorrow is my friend’s wedding day.
I always find weddings a difficult occasion to dress for, particularly Chinese ones because you never know how formal the other guests will go! At the moment, I’m dithering between this dress, and my Blair Waldorf one (the dress is towards the end of the post!).
I bought this pink, scallop edged dress for our college Summer Ball, two years ago, and haven’t yet had the chance to wear it again. In theory, it shouldn’t work, but I love love it, and scallop edge detailing is nice and on-trend at the moment! I love the simplicity of the dress too: it means I can push the boat out with restyling and accessorising it. Blaaaa, someone help me choose?
I’m so beyond excited and glad to be home right now. Uni was getting too much, and it’s so good to have a bath and my pretty bedroom to retreat to.
I’m thinking of filming a bedroom tour soon, but I’m not really sure, it would definitely require me unpacking my suitcase and giving my room a tidy though! Despite me only getting home late on Saturday afternoon (getting through London on Saturday was an epic mission in itself!), I’ve already managed to get 12 hours of work under my belt! I’ll probably be at work for a lot of the Easter break – roll on payday and a Topshop spree! 😉
Right, that is me over and out! Hope you’ve all had a lovely start to the week!
PS. How lovely is it that, at the time of writing, it’s 5:16pm and still bright?!
