Today I decided to take the newest addition to my wardrobe for a spin, despite it not really matching the weather outdoors. It’s grey and overcast, although everybody on my Twitter feed seems to have sunshine?!
I ended up going shopping on Thursday with all the intentions of picking up something new, but there genuinely wasn’t much that caught my eye and that I had to have. I think we’ve got a Westfield London trip planned next week though, so hopefully my hard-earned cash will be put to good use there instead.

I’m not particularly sure what made me pick up this skirt: I’m not a huge wearer of colours on the whole. The black band is a sweet nod to the current colour-blocking trend though, which is nice because the trend is my worst nightmare personified!
I’d planned to team it with a T-shirt, but couldn’t said T-shirt anywhere in my stocks. This one cost me literal pennies from a little boutique in Hong Kong and it’s so comfortable! The huge bow gives me Lady Gaga circa 2009 vibes and, although you can’t see it in these amateur photos, it has the loveliest lace-trimmed hem.
Spent yesterday powering through six hours of portfolio work and there’s still SO much to do.
I think I’m going to be spending my Saturday finishing off an essay or two, and storyboarding for my portfolio again. I’m struggling to gather up motivation to finish my assignments… Roll on the summer! I did finally finish editing my final fashion story photos though, and will probably post them to the blog once hand-ins are done with.
