I’ve had a really lovely day with my little sister today. I was supposed to be covering someone at work but she ended up showing up, so I unexpectedly had the day off. I popped to town to transfer money over to a friend, who is buying my camera for me next week.
I’m so excited to actually have a camera again. (Getting the Nikon D3100 if you are interested!) Also bought a casual three new books, the new issue of ELLE, and Style at Home, it’s going to be a good weekend!
(Floral drawstring playsuit, H&M;
Bangle, Louis Vuitton;
Daisy ring, Temporary Secretary;
Golden Snitch necklace, Wallpaper Rose.)
As ever, I was simply too lazy to select a proper outfit this morning. I decided to opt for one of my new playsuits, because new purchases always look good for some reason.
On the hanger, this playsuit looked sort of awful. It was long and looked like a jumpsuit, and a little sack-like, but for £7.99, I had to go and try it on, and thank God I did!
The fit is so nice and slouchy, and there is a little drawstring detail at the front of the chest/neckline. The drawstring allows you to pull the playsuit right up to your neck, or wear it looser – perhaps with a plain bikini top? – for ultimate beach chic.
I bought three books in town today, the summer weather is finally here and I’m all set to spend my afternoons in the sun with a good read. I ended up buying ‘Never Let Me Go’ by Kazuo Ishiguro at last, ‘The Great Gatsby’ – which I can’t believe I’ve never read, and ‘Summer at Willow Lake’ by Susan Wiggs. After reading Bee’s blog post this morning, I really want to dedicate time specifically to reading away from my laptop!
