I’m currently typing this with frozen fingers, fresh from my long, tedious walk home. I’ve already caved, as you can see, and started wearing the dress I bought last week, but more for a daytime look, which works just as well, if not better.
Also feeling a little bit of buyers’ remorse after remembering that rent and bills are due next week, but oh well, still feeling good!
“Aggie” suede boots, ASOS;
Felix Felicis large Potions necklace, Sawyer and Scout;
Bracelet, Dolly Bow Bow;
Dalmatian nail art, DIY as seen here.)
In LOVE with this dress from H&M.
Look at it, in all of its’ ballerina glory… I’m one of those girls who pretty much wears the same clothes for most occasions, just with a different choice of shoe, darker eye make-up and bag. I’ve always been all about the accessories, as you well know!
Also threw on my dark olive green military style jacket for Uni, purely on the basis that it is November and for some odd reason, my University loves their air-con during these winter months.
I just realised that I haven’t spoken about the other side projects I have on the go at the moment, I’m forever mentioning things on Twitter and meaning to talk about them in more depth…!
Last week I had the pleasure of spending 15 minutes with Alexandra Shakespeare, the web editor of Harpers’ Bazaar. She is very kindly mentoring the final year students of my course, and of course I jumped at the opportunity of chatting to her! It was a really insightful one-to-one, and she’s given me some mini tasks to get on with before our next meeting, which means a step further with my Ways to Wear series. SO excited! She also encouraged me to take little Daisybutter further and go full-time with it, which is totally food for thought.
Things that have piqued my interest and thoughts this week: a) My parents celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary on Sunday (20112011 – an amazing date), little things like those really make me feel quite nostalgic and sentimental! And b) It’s Grad Week at my Uni right now – seeing everyone glammed up and gowned is motivating me for my final year, and got me thinking about post-grad prospects, as well as that all-important dress to go under my robe.
Hope everyone is doing well! Has anything caught your interest recently? Maybe you also caught this adorable owl circulating the Internet world, and spent the majority of two days asking your housemate to gift you an owl for Christmas? ♥
