Yesterday I joined the rest of the British fash pack and made my merry (albeit tired and nervous) self over to Somerset House to start this season’s LFW proceedings. True to self, I ran late, missed a show, and another was “over-subscribed”. Nevertheless, my brief time at LFW this season was quite lovely and relaxed. The scene at Somerset House was much more mellow and chilled than I’ve previously experienced on the opening day, and it took a while to get into the swing of things and for the more out-there attendees to show up.
I wore my Ever Ours dress and Marant-esque boots, accessorised with a menagarie of single-charm bracelets. I seriously love the understated chic look, especially when feather hats, eyelashes and heels were aplenty on the cobbles! The little leather cuffs and collar felt appropriate too, and you can never go wrong with monochrome in my book. It was lovely to spend the day with Hannah, Ashley, Jazmine, Liv, Rebecca and Elodie too!
Just a quick post today: I’m currently at home, enjoying my sister’s company and cooking up a storm in the kitchen to eat alongside Take Me Out! Been catching up on today’s LFW goss while tucked in bed, I’m such a cheater… Tomorrow I’ll be sharing some of my favourite looks from Bora Aksu – unfortunately a lot of my show photos came out over-exposed! – and some highlights from the Orla Kiely presentation, exhibition and NEWGEN exhibition. I have 306 photos to sift through tonight – whew! ♥
PS. My new layout is up! I couldn’t wait any longer and it is very much a work in progress, but my updated header is on its way, hold tight!
