Wonderstruck Eau de Parfum, £17.50
Wonderstruck is Taylor Swift’s debut fragrance, launched in partnership with Elizabeth Arden.
Inspired by Taylor’s personal experiences and fragrance preferences, it’s a perfume I’ve been desperate to get my hands on since its US launch back in 2011. By now I’m sure it isn’t a secret that I’m the world’s biggest fan of Taylor Swift, but basically as soon as I caught wind of Wonderstruck hitting our humble shores, I was pressing refreshing at The Perfume Shop like a madwoman to place my preorder!
Did it live up to expectations?
Fragrance family: Gourmand Floral
Top notes: freesia, green tea, apple blossom, raspberry and dewberry.
Heart notes: Hawaiian white hibiscus, honeysuckle, mimosa flowers and vanilla whoopie pie.
Base notes: amber, sandalwood, musk and peach.
As far as celebrity fragrances go, Taylor Swift’s Wonderstruck isn’t particularly luxurious, musky or elevated, but it has very quickly become my signature scent. Did we ever even need to question that?!
Created with Elizabeth Arden, the eau de parfum is fruity and sweet with deliciously warm vanilla notes in the heart. It’s probably what you’d class as a summer scent, but I’ll certainly be wearing this religiously come day or night, sun, rain or snow.
Taylor describes it as a fragrance that exudes ‘the feeling that you get when you first meet someone you like’, which completely epitomises her reputation!
I’m a little biased, but I’m in absolutely besotted with this fragrance. It is lovely and light, and really doesn’t scream ‘I’m a fangirl!’ either. The bottle is a beautiful round iridescent glass number, with an engraved gold lid and three charms that are inspired by her Nashville home. A dressing table essential.
