Entitled ‘Florilegium’, Corrie Nielsen showcased a daydream-marked collection and an eye for green style in her SS13 collection. A botanical-based catwalk, this collection displayed wonderfully draped pleats, billowing voluminous shapes accentuated by mermaid-tail hair and floral hairpieces, waterfall movements encapsulated in dress form, and even full-face ombre by way of spring beauty.
Colours ranged from duck egg blue to dove grey, to copper red and midnight navy, hues that’ll definitely seep into my wardrobe come those pesky early spring months. The show-stopper look of the collection for me was a semi-transparent floral applique extreme-peplum dress, that sadly, my camera couldn’t capture quick enough! ‘Florilegium’ tells the story of a garden captured within a city, leaving a petal-infused mark in its’ wake.
