I’ll put my hands up and confess that I am the ultimate bag lady. This Bank Holiday weekend, I swapped any semblance of leaving the house for giving our family home a good ol’ spring clean, and with that came the annual cull of handbags. Let’s pretend that I didn’t count over 30 bags and that I didn’t safely stash more than half of those up in the loft so the ‘rents couldn’t see, shall we?
In conjunction with MoneySupermarket’s current competition to win a Mulberry Bayswater, Continental Purse and Phone Cover, I thought I’d join the entry ranks and rustle up a sneaky What’s in my Bag. Every blogger has to have at least one of these in their repertoire, and it’s been quite some time since my last. Oh, to enter the competition yourself, just knock up your own ‘What’s in my Bag’ post, head over here and email your entry in!
To kickstart the stuff-that-lurks-inside, I carry three purses – excessive? Yes. Organiser friendly? Yes. My Chanel calfskin classic wallet is my pride and joy: I’ve kept her away from the blog for around three months now, and she was a belated 22nd birthday gift from my parents. Good for notes, receipts, cards and my business cards. I also have my Whistles cream card holder in there – in here goes my Oyster card and work pass, nothing more, nothing less. Finally by way of purse goodness is my new Marc by Marc Jacobs coin purse. L-o-v-e. Until I finally suck it up and begin leaving the house early enough to nab a car park space, I tend to catch a bus home in the evenings, and this saves me from scrabbling around for change whilst being ridiculously cute too.
True to blogger form, in the depths of my bag lurks a handful of lip products. Currently I have my Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 110 – this is my favourite orange-toned red lip and one that I reach for at least three times a week. I also tote my YSL Rouge Volupte in Rose Paris for my current summer peachy pink. Balm wise, I typically use Benefit Lipscription or Korres Lip Butter in guava if I remember to swing it in the bag.
… and not ‘in’ the bag but is toted around with me.
I’m reading ‘Can we still be friends?’ by Alexandra Shulman, editor of Vogue, at the moment. A light and easy chick lit kind of tome, it ticks all the boxes as I struggle with functioning properly on my commute to and from work recently. Book review to come, if anyone’s interested? Aside from that, my iPod Touch comes everywhere with me. I’m always listening to music, with my current favourites including 2PM’s ‘Grown’ album and Junhyung’s OST songs for Monstar. Finally, my Samsung Galaxy S3 is my lifeline. ♥
