Within a couple more days of play, it’s very easy to catch bugs, fish and nab some apples from the trees in the town to sell for Bells. Not gonna lie, I’m a bit jealous when I see other people’s fruit variations as these vary from each character’s play! I headed to Nook’s Homes to see infamous Tom Nook for a house upgrade, et voila, house instead of a tent.
More excitingly though, after my first three days, I noticed a random, passed out animal on my beach. Turns out you can now head to Tortimer Island where you can pick exotic fruit, catch more fish and catch bugs. I also caught my first shark of the game – yusss! So that was my weekend… You can also go on island ‘tours’, which are mini games to earn island currency to buy exclusive items, and I believe you can play online with three other players in these too!
Heading over to my usual town from the Island now to sort out my house upgrade – I’m on a two-level house, next step: mansion, be mine! – and donate my oh so exotic bugs and beetles to the Museum. Be back soon with another update of new town goings-on. ♥
