This little spot is right near my old house in my hometown. So many childhood memories of taking my old dolls’ pram for a spin in the vicinity whilst venturing for 5-year-old adventures with my Dad. Ah life. I love visiting my favourite childhood spots and remembering how the simplest of things would make my day. I mean, I literally can’t feed the ducks nowadays without running away when they pace towards me…! Let’s file that under Michelle Problems, eh?
I’m still completely obsessed with this monochrome swing camisole from River Island. The unexpected cream base is so feminine and elegant without actually being ‘girly’, and then the black squares that are perfectly placed makes it work all the time. I wore it untucked, with a staff sample sale skirt (I believe it is now Miss Selfridge!) but literally am dreaming of teaming it with a rose pink A-line skirt and light pink brogues next month.
I broke my beloved Zara handbag last week. After about a year and a half of it faithfully housing Aesthetic proofs, my now defunct laptop and multiple dissertation textbooks in my Uni days, it gave up the ghost and the strap snapped when I got off my train at 8:15am on my commute. Convenient! Thankfully, Kings Cross station always has my back and I hopped into the Accessorize and grabbed the first bag I could see, and I’ve grown to quite like it. What a charmer. I’ll do a full post on the bag if anyone’s interested, but basically, it looks alright, the quality is high street average and there is SO much room inside that the commuter-hoarder in me is excited every morning. £35 from Accessorize pals, and I believe there’s a tan too!
In other news, I’ve finally found my DSLR camera charger so expect more outfit posts again and more ‘normal business’ posts. Also, today is my Dad’s birthday! He’s working all day, but we’re getting him a ridiculous Angry Birds birthday cake and my brother, sister and I have snapped up a wool coat for him. Be back soon with something pretty. x
