Granted, they’re pretty much a necessity in my everyday life. Heck, I couldn’t even see my Macbook screen to scribe this post without ’em! Glasses have been a love/hate establishment in my world for the past eight years. Yeah, I had them forced upon me during my awkward teen years and spent most of my school days apologising for having them. “Sorry, I read a lot in the dark,” “I just need them for class…” – you can imagine conversations when I wasn’t the most popular kid around.
Fast forward a few years though and not only have I begun to embrace my bespectacled ways (see this post I penned a while ago), I’ve knocked up a few go-to pairs. Say what?!
My current everyday frames are the Osiris for Specsavers B58’s. With an overwhelmingly large frame, they certainly weren’t my go-to when I met with Tom for a morning perusing the newest 2013 drop of Osiris for Specsavers. I got to consult with an in-store stylist and had the full range at my disposal to choose from too! After a lengthy try-on session – made all the more difficult by the fact I could hardly see myself – I settled for these and chatted to the Specsavers store team about their coating and thinning services. My prescription is that bad that I have to get ’em thinned out!
The B58’s have, honestly, drastically improved my confidence and helped to refresh my style. Previously, I’d been wearing my CHANEL frames that I’ve had since I turned 19. Yeah, a while ago. Whilst they are obviously still wearable, they’ve taken somewhat of a back seat. The B58’s are just bringing that geek chic touch to my outfits and I think they suit my face so much more. What are we thinking, Daisyb girls?
I was also lucky enough to try these pink Osiris B31’s as part of the Osiris ‘Dare to be Different’ campaign. Come on, you can’t get more different that hawt pink frames, aged 22, right? You can read my full post about learning to style them right here.
The Osiris for Specsavers collection is available now, and is included in their current two for one offer where two complete pairs are available for £125.
Now, where did I put my glasses…? 😉
Disclaimer: The Osiris B58 frames and lenses were both kindly gifted to me on behalf of Specsavers. I paid for a lens’ coating and thinning service to my preference. The Osiris B31 frames were gifted to me on behalf of Glam Media for a brand campaign. My CHANEL frames were paid for by me. All opinions are my own – of course! (:
