two. My sister and I have been up to
no good all sorts this week. With our brother now safely stowed away back in Lincoln for his final year at University, we have the house to ourselves again. Cue a lotta chick flick viewing, slobbing around and reciting film quotes like no tomorrow! I’m only half kidding… We’ve borrowed a 50mm f1.8 lens from one of my old workmates for the week and taking outfit snaps is suddenly much easier and a little more fun! I’m looking into investing in one of my own, so if anyone knows any good deals, link me up! (: Taking full advantage of the whole ‘just us two’ thing, Louise and I have also taken up Blogilates workout sessions. We both used to dance every week, and I’ve danced since I was 3, but my oh my, we are newly unfit. We manage three videos on average, working out for about an hour and a half. More soon…
three. Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of going to London to celebrate Gem‘s hen weekend with her! Gem writes From Gem With Love and we’ve been Internet pals for around 2-3 years now – can you believe we’d never actually met before? We had a cheesy ‘oh my gosh it’s Gem/Mish’ moment at Euston before shimmying over to South Kensington for a lovely day of afternoon tea and window shopping. I feel so privileged to have been part of her hen weekend, and can confirm she is every bit as lovely, beautiful and inspiring in person.
four. In more dramatic but not really news, I’m in the midst of trying to make some massive life decisions at the moment. I feel a little stuck in a rut and not quite ‘me’ but my decisions are pretty much halfway sorted, I just need that final clarity to suck things up and make some changes, I think!
five. Finally, just a quick heads up that I have around 20 issues of Aesthetic magazine’s fourth edition left for sale if you want a copy! You can buy it here, and it features 92 pages containing lots of my own written features, fashion editorials by Aisling, bespoke illustrations from the likes of Yasmin, Ella and Carly, as well as plenty of lifestyle, careers, food and culture chat. I’m a little biased but I’d certainly recommend picking up a copy! x
