This look has become a weekly go-to for work. I’m usually pretty creative with my work outfits, seeing as I’m wearing it for a good 16/17 hours that day across around 60 miles. Textures, monochrome, simple layering – all staples in my wardrobe. My wardrobe clear out is finally complete, by the way guys! I’m considering filming(?) a short tour in my wardrobe but also am balancing out how boring that could potentially be… Either way, I’ve also compiled a blog post full of notes on the whole debacle.
Another new addition to my wardrobe are these Topshop cut out shoes. Hailing as the KATZ2, they’re relatively feminine with just enough stomp to them. Absolutely loving wearing these with patterned socks: my colleagues are holding their breath and waiting for the day that the Christmas pud ones makes an appearance. But they’re also so nice for teaming with little skirts, floaty shirts and tights. Typical Mish.
One thing that I am often asked by readers, friends and Twitterers is my choice and preference towards the humble White T-shirt.
That steadfast, faithful and versatile, maybe a little ostentatious in its’ knowledge that it is a ‘staple’, piece in a wardrobe. I’ll put my hands up and say now that from my view – currently blogging from the end of my bed for the best Wi-fi – I can see 7 white tees in the ‘drone and I’m wearing the one above. I digress.
My perfect white tees always, always come from the hallowed halls of Zara. Just the right amount of slouch whilst offering a not-too-much-roll-showing fit. This one has sheer shoulders in black for a varsity inspired look (so 4minute!) and has a linen blend that is ideal for those hawt Tube situs.
I paired mine this time with leather biker leggings from F&F for Tesco, and my oh so overworn River Island blazer, for the whole multi-textural layers thing. I love the coated leggings and diamond texture, and ended up throwing my old Glamorous coat on top for warmth (and another texture).
Brb while I fall asleep in post-INFINITE, ill-induced, work-heavy exhaustion. The only known cure is a reel of Youtube videos, the new episode of The Heirs and a double dose of Lemsip. Secretly my favourite drink, but no-one tell Coffee, eh? x
