Beyond the boundary

Daisybutter - UK Style and Fashion Blog: what i wore, YesStyle outerwear, winter coat refresh

Western shirt with rose gold poppers, c/o Levi’s®; Burgundy knit, c/o BANK Fashion; Leather look leggings, H&M; Coat, YesStyle; Black KATZ2 cut out shoes, Topshop.

Apologies for the phone snap, I’m writing a quick on-the-go post that I’m writing on the train and stealing Wi-fi to upload! (I passed up Sunday’s usual outfit shooting session to decorate my house and basically lie down a LOT after a really busy week.)

Last week I took advantage of a pretty good 20% off deal that YesStyle had on and snapped up another new winter coat. I know, I know… how many winter coats can I possibly wear?! Truth be told? A lot. England is colder than I can ever recall this year. I even bought gloves. Albeit touchscreen ones so I don’t sacrifice Instagram for photo scrolling’ and those infamous filters.

The coat itself is the 45SEVEN Contrast Trim Single Button Coat. A classic black and grey number that lends itself to a relaxed military boyfriend blazer hybrid, it ticks all the boxes for a more grown-up look. Ya know I love my scallop edged coat but it was getting a bit too twee alongside my, er, scallop edged clothes. The price is… about right for its’ quality, I’d say. £78.87 pre discount, it’s the ideal bump-you-up coat to tide you over in the long winter. And YesStyle are offering 15% off at the moment – I swear I’m not being sponsored 😉

Underneath, I’m wearing my Levi’s denim shirt and burgundy knit from BANK Fashion, with my leather-look leggings by H&M. Easy, fuss-free dressing for a relatively mild December Tuesday.

By the way, I’m still experiencing heart palpitations at the thought of it being 2014 in less than a month. (Christmas, please stay with me forever.) However 2014 already looks like a crackin’ year for me – I shall spill all soon! Time to get my evening fix of Man Repeller and crack on. Until tomorrow… x

Instagram post 2195328500792311413_30616375 We had SO much fun at FriendsFest on Thursday. As I've been asked 19385739 times, it wasn't a press event, it's a public thing and we paid for tickets! I think FriendsFestive is in Shoreditch until 21st December and I totally recommend going! PS. Definitely want to paint at least one of my doors purple... 😏 Swipe to see our makeshift Christmas décor, the last in this house before we move... #DaisybutterAtHome
Instagram post 2194268191654680261_30616375 [ A D ☕ ] Hello Sundaze ✨ When the house is emptying but you still gotta get that décor right 😏 Thrilled with my new print additions from @juniqeartshop, they're adding so much warmth to a chilly December, and, to a basically empty bedroom. You can get 30% off orders over £29 until next Sunday using my code MICHELLE30 ☺️ #juniqe #juniqehome
Instagram post 2193805226526666424_30616375 Name a dog more festive (and cute) than @milo.chai. ... I'll wait 😏🎄✨ #dogsofinstagram
Instagram post 2193084553068073079_30616375 Central Perk vibes 😏✨ Had the best time with my brother and sister at FriendsFest yesterday! We spend all of our time watching the episodes on repeat (like any self-respecting millennial) and it was incredible to see the sets and goof around together for a few hours, dressed like Rachel Green with my Gucci bag (“it's spelled like Gucky, which can be confusing”). Except from when a seven-year-old PUSHED ME OVER by Joey's Barcalounger. Fun fact: I used that copy of Vogue in my dissertation! #FriendsFestive
Instagram post 2192254609316598078_30616375 I finished reading this over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised. The Flat Share is a chick lit with a twist; I really enjoyed the sub-plots and clever character building throughout, but for some reason didn't adore the book. Beady-eyed readers who also follow me on Goodreads will know I rated it three stars which seems harsh, but simply means I enjoyed the book but wouldn't recommend it to a general audience and I wouldn't reread it 🤷🏻‍♀️ Have you read this book yet? #DaisybutterReads
Instagram post 2191316238771439516_30616375 “We can go drivin' in, on my scooter... Uh, you know, just riding in London...” 🎶. L O N D O N · G I R L :: Absolutely thrilled to share this masterpiece shot by @sianshoots. The moment I heard @taylorswift 'London Boy', I knew I wanted to capture it all, dressed in my @stellamccartney × Taylor look. I'm not from London and nor do I live there; but some of the best chapters of my life began here. My first writing job, falling in love, spontaneously buying designer bags on Bond Street, cab rides with friends in a drunken mess, food tours with my girls, hours-long walks, all amidst a grey drizzly haze. It all happened, and happens, here. London, you're so special. P.S. I have categorically never watched rugby in a pub with his mates 😂 ph. @sianshoots
Instagram post 2190981785549400790_30616375 Probably still my favourite coffee shop view 😍 #coffeeshopvibes
