For the fourth time in roughly 18 months, one of my best friends Sharon and I packed up our trunks and owls into the back of my non-flying car and went on a Monday adventure to Leavesden, home to the Harry Potter Warner Bros. Studio Tour. I’ve saved some photos under the cut, if you’ve not been before.
As ever, the studio is the perfect choice for escapism and, although we’d both been before, we both thoroughly enjoyed pretending to enjoy a Christmas lunch in the Great Hall, sip hot chocolates with Neville in the Gryffindor common room, peruse the Marauder’s Map and discover the room of Lost Dreams for the first time – how apt! – and really drink a Butterbeer. Gawd those things are good (and cold).
I think it’s safe to say that even 12 years on since I first dipped into the murky yet magical world of Harry Potter, my hopes are still pinned firmly on receiving ‘that’ owl and ‘that’ letter. C’mon Michelle, your hermit days shall pay off.
