Here’s my 2014 Valentine to you. For every time I read a sweet comment, have a Twitter lol, Instagram like, shared a YouTube video of pandas falling asleep, quote marathon of the classics – cough cough, Mean Girls & Harry Potter – every time I’ve met someone for an event because real life is darn scary, wittered on about the troubles of life/why won’t XYZ like me?! over Whatsapp, or complained about my commute… This blog is my pride and joy right now. It’s the Internet generation. So let’s embrace it.
If you’re fretting about having yourself a singles’ day – hey, me too. It’s overpriced chocolate day, although, yes, I do have a large bar of chocolate in my bag. It’s also a day to share a sentiment with any loved one, so call a distant family member, write a note to your Dad (even if he’s clearly not going to read it because he’s panicking about the no-flowers-purchased-for-Mum situation), leave a little blog comment on your favourite blogger’s blog. It’s also a day that I’m spending curled up with the new episode of Deja Vu and a marathon of Magi until I’m all caught up.
Happy Valentine’s, thanks for all the Internet love, I’m more grateful than you’d imagine.
Love, Michelle (fact of the day: I’m not, and never have been, called Daisy) x
