Hey. Hello. Hi there. It’s a sleepy ol’ Sunday and I felt like cracking out my MacBook and winding down for the week with a little blogging session. My week basically revolved around all the Hong Kong public holidays messing up my weekend thought processes, having an epic catch-up with Jade and the spectacular relaunch of A for Aesthetic.
I’m currently bundled up in my bunny dressing gown with a mug of tea and the Animal Crossing soundtrack for company, looking like the height of style. In between writing at work, writing for the relaunch and writing on this here blog, I’ve hardly had time to sit down and indulge in some of-the-moment chatter.
Autumn finally arrived in Hong Kong and I can wear a light jacket again! Man I miss the autumn back in England. I’d move back in a heartbeat just for crunchy leaf walks. I’m really into this black duster that I picked up at Aland. Dee-lightful! I always feel at my sartorial best when I’m in layers. Outfit post is here!
I’ve well and truly upped my coffee game lately. Tried out some new blends at ethos and The Coffee Academics and HAWT DAYUM, if you want a good coffee + brunch, you need to camp out at The Coffee Academics every weekend. I popped a little review up earlier in the week from when I visited with Rachel!
Speaking of which, I hung out with lovely Rachel from Fell from the Skies a few weekends ago! She came out to Hong Kong for a holiday so of course we went for brunch and shopping. My failsafe recipe for people-who-have-come-here, even though it isn’t very Hong Kong, I guess. We fangirled a lot over Apink as expected, did a mini karaoke and big haul in Aland and surmised over the fact that I’m too short for dresses and Rachel is too tall. Such a fun day!
It was Mid-Autumn Festival on Sunday! I didn’t do anything for it though because, you know, lack of family in the country problems. There’s usually a lot of pop-up food and flower markets around Hong Kong in celebration so I headed down to my local one for a squished, solo wander.
Obligatory sick-in-Asia selca. These are still such a novelty for me but essential if you’re at the office or out on the street.
I’m really obsessed with reading Niomi Smart’s blog at the moment. I discovered Niomi through a handful of British vloggers and instantly added her blog to my bookmarks. I’m trying to be a little more considered towards my eating habits lately and while I’m not vegan, I find her blog to be full of inspiration when I’m meal planning.
JADE IS HERE! Can’t quite contain my excitement! Haven’t seen my gal in over a year – say what?! – and I’ve been anticipating her arrival for the longest time. Mainly to get my UK beauty goodies, teehee. I kid. It’s so good to have a familiar face around (:
Finally got round to starting ‘Twenty Again’ as well! It’s a tvN drama that stars Nauen from Apink and I’ve literally just been far too busy to sit down and watch a subtitled drama. But I’m a little more chilled and less ill now so of course I’ve been busying myself with a Kdrama sesh each night! Would def recommend if you like school-setting dramas.
Finally, a handful of blogs that I’ve been reading lately and that I think you’ll love too:
Might share an update of my Project Life scrapbook again soon if anyone’s interested? It’s getting so heavy that I try not to move it from it’s little station!
Love, Mish xx
