Here’s the deal: I’m not much of a Valentine’s Day girl. The whole thing is cheesy and a little too commercial for my liking. I’m a total advocate for celebrating love and celebrating loved ones but, without getting even cheesier, Harvey and I celebrate each other all the time and treat any time together as ‘date night’. Whether it’s a surprise fizzy Vimto after a tough day at work or warming up each others’ pyjamas whilst the other is in the shower, I think the smaller acts of kindness and love make a bigger impact overall. This year, we’ll be commemorating the day by making pizzas at home (topped with roast potatoes, garlicky pesto and all the vegetables). I mean, what a keeper, right?
Whether you’re spending the day with your other half, having a self-care evening or devoting the day to the girls, I’ve compiled an edit of your essentials for the pinkest day of the year. From pyjamas to skincare, lingerie to books, these are the pieces to treat them (or yourself!) to or sneakily leave open on your other half’s screen…

Board Game Night-In
Pick up a board game and spend the evening challenging each other with a bottle of red wine by your side and Friends in the background for ambience. We’re partial to Monopoly, the Pokemon edition.
Pitch a tent in your garden and arm yourself with outdoors heaters, hot water bottles, smores and a film on your laptop. Bonus points if you’re still close enough to the house to reach the WiFi.
Why not head for a leisurely swim on the evening of the 14th? And wrap it up with a quick jacuzzi and/or sauna session.
