Now that we’re halfway through April (I know, don’t @ me, it isn’t my fault), I’ve finally been letting myself consider refreshing my wardrobe for spring/summer. For years I’ve been a cosy knit and torn denim gal but all I can think about right now are Bardot tops, split hem midi skirts, little straw bags… Your girl is craving a little bared skin and something swishy!
When I sat down to compile my spring wishlist and fill out my bullet journal shopping tracker (throughout 2018, I’m only permitting myself 4 out-of-the-ordinary purchases per month), I constantly gravitated to a palette of blush pink, Kelly green, nude and white. I’m not sure what it is I adore so much about this set but something has me good! From this shoulder-baring Bardot top by River Island – for better fit, I always look to pieces with a shirred panel as opposed to just an elasticated trim – to this stunning Clive Christian Original Collection 1872 fragrance that’s now available in the brand’s gift sets for her, the rich hues create a modest sense of luxury, something I’m sure we’re all vying for after such a harsh winter.
Featured in the wishlist:
Green Bardot top by River Island ∙ Herbivore Botanicals Pink Cloud Rosewater Moisture Creme ∙ Herbivore Botanicals Moon Fruit Superfruit Night Treatment ∙ Round raffia basket bag by Zara ∙ Falabella Box mini velvet bag by Stella McCartney ∙ Clive Christian Original Collection 1872 Feminine Edition* ∙ Oversized printed cotton-terry sweatshirt by Gucci ∙ Lizzie mini crossbody tote bag by Topshop ∙ Low back mini sundress in heart broderie by ASOS
Of course I’m not completely crazy and going all-out on colours… This luxe Gucci sweatshirt has also made it into the edit. I adore the nostalgic typeface and creamy hue: can’t you imagine it teamed with a stripe panelled midi skirt, this Topshop Lizzie mini tote bag, and a pair of fresh adidas Gazelle’s for brunch and a museum visit? And when the weather inevitably turns the dial up, as we know it will, the previously mentioned Bardot top will team winningly with a white raw hem jean, those Dune sandals and this charming round straw bag by Zara.
Lastly, next up on my spring wishlist and that I’ll be purchasing imminently are these products from the ever-popular Herbivore Botanicals. The cruelty-free label that has become an Instagram cult favourite has finally landed on UK shores at Space.NK and I for one can’t wait to get involved: the Pink Cloud moisturiser is milled with rosewater, whilst the Moon Fruit night treatment promises a multi-tasking treatment that resurfaces the skin as well as hydrating deeply. Lily has raved about them and you all know I can’t resist picking products up on her recommendation 😉
