Although I welcomed this year’s (worrying) summer heatwave with open arms and thoroughly enjoyed frolicking in the sun at every opportune moment, if there’s one season that I thrive in, it’s got to be autumn.
Sweater weather is truly the greatest of them all. No need to ‘invest’ in late summer jackets that will be worn once or twice at best, and we’re not quite at the level where we just sling a coat on top of our given outfit and let that be that.
I’ve been searching for my dream camel jumper for what feels like years. Camel hues provide such a warmth to looks and is timelessly stylish in a way I can’t quite put my finger on. I can say with some degree of certainty that I hadn’t come across *the* jumper until earlier this month, when I Saw It First kindly delivered a package to me. I Saw It First are an online retailer, bringing key trends to you in an accessible way. And I was pleasantly surprised by their online offering, discovering SO many incredible pieces that I’ve been wearing constantly thus far this autumn.
Meet the twist back knit of my dreams.
(Twist back jumper, ℅ I Saw It First;
MOTO Jamie jeans in washed black, Topshop;
Kori boots, Alexander Wang;
Chloé Drew bag in medium, blush pink;
Nina glasses, ace & tate.)
I wore this last week when guest lecturing in Leeds. Though it was positively freezing by night, it was the perfect chance to break out my autumn uniform of black skinny jeans, Alexander Wang Kori boots and my Chloé Drew. I adore the timeless palette teamed with the more brazen design at the back. Plus, it’s ideal for when the temperatures dip and we all do need to bring out a coat to sling on top. A failsafe style formula, wouldn’t you say?
