Hello from beautiful Langkawi!
Oh it’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted on here. I’d intended to check in on Sundays with a weekly update but it has been a wild ride over here and I tend to plop into bed completely exhausted every single night. Oops. In fact, yesterday Harvey popped out to grab a snack and I’d fallen asleep — subsequently locking him out of our hotel room! — by the time he returned. Double oops.
As ever, it’s been a jam-packed Chai family getaway. I’ve been capturing little snippets from our trip over on Instagram, and it looks a lot like: hikes up limestone hills, temple visits, midnight adventures with my not-so-little-anymore cousin, seeking out Komodo dragons along the riverfront, prepping for my other cousin’s wedding, white sand lounging, sitting up amongst the clouds… It’s been pretty amazing thus far and I’ve ticked SO much from my never-ending travel bucket list. I can’t wait to share more of our trip with you all soon.
Anyway! Today was a blissful, restful respite from our busy schedule.
With rain forecasted in the afternoon, we all donned our swimwear and made for the famous, truly stunning Pantai Cenang beach here in Langkawi. It’s my first time on the island and I just adore it. I’ve wanted to visit ever since Dad visited with his siblings and brought us each back a touristy T-shirt to keep.
Stella McCartney horse-print plunge top and tie-side bikini briefs by Simply Beach
Fast forward a few years and this dreamy Stella McCartney bikini is top of my sartorial favourites list. The adorable horse print is truly iconic of the brand and is such a subtle way to really elevate swimwear. Plus, the ends are finished with signature engraving and the mesh trim is SO flattering. A huge thank you to Simply Beach for dressing me for my island getaway. You can discover their incredible range of bikinis on their website.
Anyway, enough about me… Let me know how you guys are! Please tell me your December stories and spread the festive cheer while ya girl is stuck in perpetual 30°C humid weather.
