It’s my 28th birthday on Saturday!

And just as I’ve been doing for the past 9 years, I’m sharing my birthday wishlist with you all. This year, take this roll-call with a pinch of salt. I’m currently — happily — in the throes of a no-material-possessions-thanks chapter of my life where I’m more than happy with my present edit of belongings and just a book and a candle to celebrate a new year of life.

Having said that, I’m only human. So here’s a little selection of the things that’ve piqued my interest lately. And if you’ve got a birthday coming up or one to buy for, I hope this provides a little inspiration.

Kick-starting the list with the Drunk Elephant The Littles Kit. I didn’t manage to pick it up when everybody else was raving about it, but now that I’m reaching the end of plenty of my skincare staples, I’m intrigued to try the range. It’s pricey, yes, but I’ve always been firmly of the belief that you should invest highly in anything that’s going on your face.

Next, the Molton Brown Tobacco Absolute EDT. Tasked as a masculine scent, I’m borderline obsessed with this warm woody fragrance. Who would’ve thought? Spending 40 hours in the office makes you pretty hard-wired to fragrances!

Like I mentioned before, I’m basically just into books and candles at the moment. Top of my reading list is Hashtag Authentic by Sara Tasker. I’ve got a couple of ideas up my sleeve for where I ‘want to be next’ and so I’m desperate to get my hands on a copy. I’d also love a little copy of The Tao of Pooh, which connects tales from Winnie the Pooh to Taoism.

Would a bloggers’ wishlist really be complete without an indulgent, luxe candle? I think not. I’m coveting Overose’s Anthurium candle and BYREDO’s Treehouse offering.

When it comes to wearables, I wouldn’t say I covet clothing for birthdays. I shared my SS19 wishlist last week, but this Whistles sweatshirt has since joined the list. Isn’t it just beautiful? Perfect for dress-down Friday and lazy Sunday wanders. However what I do enjoy is birthday jewellery: this Missoma pendant and Alex Monroe initial necklace are just dying to be added to my trinket rotation.

Lastly, an unexpected addition: a new Gracefituk resistance band! I’ve completely outgrown my old one and need a heavy band, but it is near on impossible to get hold of her restocks. A girl can wish, right?

What’s topping your wishlist at the moment? Do we share any wishes?
