Happy Friday! And welcome to the long weekend! And, go on then, happy payday for everyone celebrating this religious occasion.
After a season of so many Bank Holiday weekends, this one has been oh so very welcome. I’ve been in an Arthur-strolling-down-the-street sort of happy mood recently and I’m sure it has something to do with the sunshine bestowed on London and my corner of the UK recently.
I’m so here for jacket-only weather, and have been slowly adding to my seasonal wardrobe. It began with a few pieces gathered from Depop (in exchange, I’ve listed lots of pieces on my profile!), and continues with additions from H&M, & Other Stories and Mango. I’m having a real moment with personal style at the moment, which is promising given my tendency to live in gymwear and pyjamas! (That freelancer life…)
This season I’m coveting neutral, earthier tones. It goes hand in hand with the wave of sustainability awareness and I strongly believe in how fashion emulates a societal mood. The ASOS shirred jumpsuits are so cute, I adore the sleeves and think this sage green jumpsuit would look SO nice paired with some backless loafers, a straw bag and straw hat.
Also in the gallery, the influencer wave of midi skirts certainly hasn’t escaped me. Truth is, they’re just so simple to style and are a breezy godsend for warmer afternoons when you want to float about like a daydream. This green midi skirt from New Look is covered in a subtle floral print. For work, I’d add a short-sleeved blouse and for weekends I’d just wear it with a T-shirt knotted at the hem.
You’ve caught me guys… My next luxury bag is of course going to be Stella McCartney. I absolutely adore this reversible Falabella mini tote bag and am just patiently waiting to be able to justify it. That whipstitch trim though.
I picked up these pointed toe backless loafers from H&M last week and adore them! They’re basically the spring/summer iteration of my beloved black ones by River Island that I bought around 2 years ago. They also have a black pair on H&M, if you’re interested. And these heeled sandals from New Look have my name written all over them: I’m imagining them with my H&M white Mom jeans, the knotted headband and a simple, well-cut black T-shirt.
What are you coveting at the moment?
