Portraits by Sian
Oh it feels good to see these little ‘1’s on my screen. It feels like a clean slate in a wholly more satisfying way than if it were simply another new year because it’s a whole new decade baby! It’s a total cliché but I’m oh so ready to tackle my goals for this year head-on and make it an even better decade than the last. I’ve been excited for today ever since I began putting my 2020 bullet journal pages together back in mid-December; now here we are.
Last year to my own detriment, I didn’t really set any goals. I suppose I’d hit a bit of burnout back then and I felt like I wanted to enjoy a year of little to no pressures. Ultimately it’d leave me feeling like I hadn’t achieved anything at all, which, whilst being absolutely fine, didn’t sit well with me. So, lesson learned… this time around it’ll be different. I’m taking this week to feel things out a little and hone in on what I’d really like from 2020. I’ve been really getting into manifestation and I feel so positive for this year, yet incredibly grateful for what I already have.
I celebrate 10 years of Daisybutter on the 8th, which is just astounding. But aside from that, I can feel it in my bones that this year will be transformative for me. I’m already sowing the seeds for change and I can’t wait to reap the rewards. Soon.
My Work-in-Progress Goals for 2020
- Get on top of my savings in a more sustainable way.
- Continue my fitness journey.
- Host a Daisybutter meet-up!
- Be even more charitable.
- Start writing my novel, at last.
- Do that whole house-buying and -moving thing.
More than anything though, I’d like to continue to create magic, cultivate kindness and seek joys. I’ve never felt happier than I do now, and things can only get better, especially when I work out what these goals of mine for the year might look like!
Happy New Year, you wonderful bunch. Let’s do this.
