Happy New Year!! Fancy seeing you here.
I always look forward to writing my New Year post, it feels like that split second when your booted foot hovers over fresh crunchy snow – full of excitement and unreserved joy. Whilst of course today is just another day and a societally created occasion, I must admit I’ve been seeing it as a bit of reset. A new bullet journal to splash incoherent words across (for they’ll make sense come December). A fresh calendar month to wreck with vague plans inevitably cancelled. But after the year we’ve all experienced, I’m sure you feel similarly that there’s some odd hope in the 1st, even if nothing Out There has really changed.
Despite my best attempts to reflect, I truly can’t remember what it felt like to step into January 2020. For once, I don’t even dare to open up my New Year 2020 blog post because I don’t want to be reminded of everything that wasn’t. Instead, I feel motivated to make this year even 1% better. Let’s hope that won’t be hard. At the weekend I journaled a little, to close 2020 and write down my intentions and hopes for 2021. I’m really excited. Although things look mighty different to what I once imagined (having an employee at Tartle, owning a house), I’m excited all the same. Grateful for the lessons I learned, and even more so for the seeds I’ve sown for the future.
