Celebrating 14 Years of Daisybutter

It’s our 14th year Daisybutter birthday, my loves!

Although I opened my original Blogger account in October 2009, it wasn’t until January 2010 that I really began posting regularly and building a lovely community of blogging friends and readers. Fourteen years later and the rest, as they say, is history.

I feel like I say similar sentiments every year, but I really cannot believe I’ve kept this online journal for so many years. Aside from a friendship with myself, it’s the longest commitment I’ve ever made and kept and I’m really thankful for everything it has brought me. I began Daisybutter while I was in my first year of a fashion journalism degree, and it was the perfect complement to my studies. I suppose I was one of the early adopters of fashion and lifestyle blogging in the UK. Although I chose not to pursue my blog full-time in 2012 upon graduation, like so many of my incredible peers did, I’m happy with the journey that transpired. I continued writing here, and making career stepping stones too.

Daisybutter has afforded me endless once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. Over the course of these 14 years, I’ve worked on partnerships with dream brands including Temperley London, Filofax, Tommy Hilfiger, Selfridges, Les Néréides, Levi’s, French Connection, Wonderbra, innocent, Evian, Diane von Furstenberg, boohoo, Nintendo, M&S, Uniqlo, New Look, Specsavers, Biscuiteers, Yves Saint Laurent Beauté, eBay, Evian, 7 For All Mankind, Cloud Nine, ghd, Bose, Bubbleology, Stand Seven, foodpanda, Kipling, Percy & Reed, Paperchase, Dermalogica, HomeSense, Boots, Quorn Foods, Petplan UK, eBay, Daisy London, Ballet Fusion, Bloom & Wild and Style Korean.

I’ve enjoyed travel opportunities, ambassador opportunities, and even DJ’ed for 7 For All Mankind! For a girl from a small town in England, I’m pretty proud of everything that I’ve achieved so far. While the hustle days are quite far behind me, I still feel that there’s a bit more in me left and I’m looking forward to seeing what the next year and more holds for Daisybutter. It’s my favourite creative outlet and I really think that being able to create on here – outside of my day job! – keeps me sane. Or sane enough.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for continuing to read Daisybutter and follow along as I trundle through my cosy little life.
