Commonly asked questions
I started Daisybutter, on Blogger, in October 2009 when I was a fresher at university. But I only began to regularly post here in January 2010!
I blog because I can’t not. I’m a writer by trade and have loved to write my whole life. Mostly, I’m here because I love (over)sharing my life and forming connections with like-minded strangers. Our community is just incredible.
Yes! And I have been since 2018, give or take. Under this umbrella, I eat a plant-based vegan diet, do not buy leather and use only vegan and cruelty-free beauty and household cleaning products.
I’d like to think I live my life as sustainably as I can, and that’s in both ways. I’m British-born Chinese. I was born, raised and still live in Hertfordshire, England. My parents are from Hong Kong and Malaysia.
All over the place!
Wake up at 6.30am, workout at the gym, make breakfast, work 9-5, work on & Chai, make dinner, read, see friends, sleep at 11.30pm.
With five years’ experience in-house as a copywriter and editor at some big fashion companies, I started my freelance copy studio in February 2016. I’d just moved home from an expat stint in Hong Kong and had had some interest on LinkedIn. I’m proud to have successfully run this business for six years before deciding to move back to a permanent full-time role.
I’d recommend it to anybody that has the drive and connections.
