Stretches of summer fall fast and heavy, a quiet slumber descending upon everybody as the hazy heat descends. It’s odd how impactful the weather can be. Not two moments off from a flight, this is where I’m finding joy, in the smallest moments right at home, surrounded by the safety of my loved ones.
一. Watching anime in the dead of night and checking episodes off on My Anime List.
二. The little tufts of hair from Milo’s ears that flop here and there when we go on evening walks.
三. Blousy blooms from my weekly peony bunch.
四. Simple ice cream dates at home with my love.
五. That sparkle in his eyes whilst we plot and plan for our future.
六. The quiet scratch and pull of brush against paperstock and satisfying smudge of ink as I practice brush lettering for the hundredth time.
七. Feeling accomplished after a call with suppliers for the shop.
八. Slipping into fresh pyjamas after a warm shower, particularly one taken after a testing introversion day.
九. Absentmindedly wondering when life got this great and how sunlight flying through the windows at 4pm can lend magic and gold to everything.
十. A great cup of coffee or green tea in the morning; enjoyed in the garden with birds tittering above and a curious puppy nestling at my feet.
What are some of your petite joys, lately?
