All of My Nail Art Inspo So Far

It seems that 2022 was the year that nail art came back in a big way. And, I was thrilled! I’ve been adding nail art to my self-care rituals since late 2019, so I have been more than happy to welcome in an abundance of nail art inspiration to my Instagram and Pinterest feeds.

Some of my most popular Stories and posts on Instagram are my nail posts, so I thought I’d take a moment to round up all of the designs I’ve had so far, as well as a few notes about my nails in general. (Who would’ve ever thought?!)

What I Ask For

My nails are the same shape every time: I ask for an almond shape and sometimes get it a little sharper, but never a stiletto. They’re my natural nails and I simply have gel overlays and hand-painted art. Often, a nail technician can also offer gel extensions and nail repair – I’ve definitely had these one or two times! – at an additional cost.

Maintaining Your Nails

Alongside a balanced, nutritious diet, I take care of my nails between appointments by applying cuticle oil two or three times throughout the day and using hand cream to keep my hands and nails hydrated. When your nails get dry, the gel overlay can lift as your nail underneath becomes brittle.
