Sundaze 304: ACNH 3.0, finally February and friendshipmaxxing

Happy Sundaze, my loves!
I completely meant to write last weekend, but ended up running out of time between my studies and general house and life admin. Thankfully, it’s never too late to write about recent goings-on. How have you been? It’s finally February! For a moment there, I thought January and its fortnight of rain might never end. I’m somebody that loves the New Year start, but even I was feeling ready for a cursory new-month change.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons 3.0 is here!
Amidst the January blues, I’ve been lapping up plenty of time on my Nintendo Switch, for Animal Crossing: New Horizons has received its surprise 3.0 update! You’ll all know by now that I’m a huge fan of this franchise and, even though I’ve been regularly playing it since 2020, the update comes at a very welcome time. So far, I’ve really enjoyed playing the hotel part of the update, and seeing more villagers wandering Moonacre! Plus, I’m loving crafting items for Kapp’n to sell, especially with the multiple-item craft mode. Next up, I’m working on the slumber islands to tap back into the past themes I’ve used.

Plenty of quality time with friends
Since Eddie has been away, I’ve been lapping up plenty of time with my friends. I always make time to see friends two or three times a month, but January has been full of friendship dates and I’ve loved it! We celebrated Vienna’s engagement with an after-work dinner, which was a complete balm, and then Charlotte and I met up for an evening full of wedding-planning chatter. It’s so fun to share big milestones with my girls!
Kristabel, Winnie and I enjoyed our usual start-of-year London day, packed with good food, window shopping, and reminiscing on 17 years of content creation together. And, of course, Alice, Sasha and I hosted our usual monthly supper club. Friends >>>>
Finally mapping out my 2026 goals
This week, I’ve spent some time planning out my year. It’s taken me a few weeks for my goals and plans for 2026 to percolate, and now I feel really motivated and a bit more switched-on for what I want from the year, from each month, and for what I want to achieve. Some goals stretch into 2027 (wedding-planning takes up a lot of it!), while others feel short-term and are more specific. All in all, I’m so excited for 2026!
