Having devoted 2014 and much of this year to doing more and seeing more, a quiet Easter break has been both welcomed with open arms and also a shock to the system. Let’s just say I’m not accustomed to long stretches of time with my four walls for company! But, hey, there’s not much you can do when friends, family and acquaintances left, right and centre cancel on your plans for almost six consecutive days(!) I’m writing a post about this to hopefully come next week but I’m feeling all sorts of uncertain at the moment.

That aside, Sophia and I ventured out on Easter Monday and went on an accidental hike. We attempted to go the Astropark in Sai Kung but the entire world lied to us and we ended up being stranded in the middle of nowhere – even taxis refused to pick us up?! So we hiked approximately 11k and then ate cupcakes when we found civilisation. The less I say on the matter the better to be honest… For the occasion, I wore another striped cropped top (H&M) and my first ever midi skirt. All hail the maxi skirt. I think I’ve found my new style calling. Seriously obsessed with this and it’s surprisingly flattering. I was never sure on them as I’m a shortie at a grand 5″1 or so! But I have surprisingly long legs for a petite human and this skirt is my new springtime LOVE.

Today I’m mostly excited to get home from work, pick up my stupidly beautiful Samsung Galaxy S6 – I chose the Champagne Gold in the end! – and put my feet up. I’ve been ‘suffering’ with an odd sort of displaced FOMO lately. Constantly wanting to make the most of every moment, feeling like I’m wasting my precious time and all the while worrying about my Granny and baby tortoises. I’m going to prescribe myself some Häagen-Dazs Blueberries & Cream, a session of scrapbooking and setting up my new phone as a restful antidote. Hope you’re all doing a little better than me ♥
