Petite joys

The stretch of golden, sun-soaked days and evenings has made such a positive impact on my week. I’ve been out running! I’ve run errands at lunch instead of sitting at my desk! I often sit outdoors in the garden and read before dinner! I’m officially a really-late-twenties gal and I love it. The highlight of my fortnight has definitely been nabbing my mortgage-in-principle and taking a figurative weight off my shoulders. Now the real chaos can begin.

There’s a lot to be said for appreciating the smaller, not necessarily finer details of the everyday mundane. Here’s to another list of petite joys, the moments that’ve brought and woven poetry to my days, this fortnight:

一. Slowly but surely getting back into running! My sister and I headed out for our first Couch to 5k run and it was surprisingly bearable. I haven’t really run properly since last year’s Race for Life and favoured other forms of cardio at the gym this year. Here’s hoping I’ll be able to comfortably run 5k again, soon!

二. Taking charge of my diary and prioritising clients that are good for the soul.

三. Reconnecting with one of my best friends!

四. A super fun and productive shoot with Sian! She’s recently gone freelance and is incredible with a camera – go and book her!

五. Eating outdoors; al fresco dining is such a treat in England.

六. Dad’s homemade chilli sauce. Delicious, quite frankly.

七. Blissful golden evenings.

八. Having my evenings back again! I’m putting them to good use by abusing my Netflix and NOW TV subscriptions.

九. Sainsbury’s Bacon Crispies. (They’re vegan!)

十. Wizards Unite sessions masquerading as dog walks.
