I’m currently in a blissful bubble of festive contentment. We had a cosy date day in London yesterday, I’ve spent plenty of time with my family, and my entire week has been accompanied by a Red (Taylor’s Version) soundtrack. Plus, I finally shared my annual gift guides and the response has been so heart-warming!
However overstimulating my London days might be at the moment, I’m finding that having to head into the office occasionally is actually helping me to slow down and carve out some downtime. From evenings spent preparing a homemade, cooked packed lunch to putting my phone away for the commutes there and back in favour of a book, I really feel like this new pace is doing good for me. (I also keep falling asleep by 10pm, so there’s that…)
Sinking some hours into Animal Crossing: New Horizons!
Speaking of downtime, I am absolutely LOVING spending time with my ACNH friends in-game again. Last year, I created a wonderful cosy gaming community on Discord and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I love nothing more than visiting them for island parties, trades and DIY hops! And this week I’ve spent lots of time working on new areas of Moonacre (my island) and building up my DIY recipe repertoire. I’ve now logged over 1,600 hours in this darn game…
A festive day in London
On Tuesday, after various appointments and bits and bobs, the Chai family headed into London to preview Christmas at Kew! And, of course, it didn’t disappoint. We were incredibly well-looked after and it was an absolute joy to wander around Kew Gardens by the light of thousands of perfectly put-together installations. I’m already planning in another visit for December.
The almighty & Chai Black Friday prep begins…
In between work, downtime and ACNH, my sister and I are also now in the throes of prepping for Black Friday at & Chai. We dithered about whether or not to join in the chaos of this sale season, but we haven’t run many offers this year and we wanted to be able to give our customers a special treat. Check back soon for our Black Friday offers, and subscribe to the emails to preview the sale before anybody else!
