Moving Diaries: What’s Next On Our Interiors Wishlist

Last month, I shared a little ‘moving diaries’ blog post capturing the early moments of moving in with my boyfriend and making his house our home. While I wasn’t sure how much I wanted to share of our place, I do know now that I will only share my beautiful library room and small snippets of our lounge. And, I know that homeware and interiors are slowly taking over my life. I love it! So, I thought I’d follow up by sharing a little wishlist (or hit list!) of what we plan to pick up or work on next for our little place.

Chest of drawers · Striped armchair · Striped ruffle cushion · Paper origami lampshade · Floor lamp · Faux flower arrangement

Although there are still some priorities to take care of, like curtain poles and curtains, window sealant and garden fences, to take care of, I’m really excited to start colouring our home in with some decorative pieces. So far, we’ve just taken care of essentials, but it’s also fun to pick up things like gorgeous faux flower arrangements, lampshades and cute cushion covers.

I adore this beautiful striped armchair, and I’m thinking of adding it to my library room as a reading chair. The space definitely needs softening up, and I think the green hue will make a beautiful contrast to my pink walls! And the ruffled cushion will add a vibrant pop of colour to our living room: it’s quite bland and beige right now and will be until I get ’round to building our DIY alcove shelving, so we can display photos and trinkets from our travels. And, the floor lamp is perfect for the theme of our living room. I’m not a big light person at all, and I’m desperate to add soft lighting to the space.

Are you planning any interior updates? I’d love to hear your ideas!
