Sundaze 298: Grease, healthy girl habits and Showgirl!

Happy Sundaze, my loves!

I finally carved out some time to sit down and properly write (and post) a Sundaze, YAY! Summer has been busy, hot and so much fun. But I’m loving late summer and I’m even more excited for my favourite non-season: sautumn. August is packed with family birthday celebrations in Eddie and I’s world and so the rest of the month is looking very busy indeed. Today, I’m headed to the beach with my family for Dad’s birthday and, yesterday, I was in London celebrating Kristabel’s! I’m also trying to work on my health, fitness and wellness, so between these, I’ve been feeling like I don’t have the headspace for much else.

Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical

Last weekend, Mum, my sister and I headed to London for something very special. To celebrate Mum’s birthday, we went to Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical, an immersive rendition of her all-time favourite movie. I don’t want to share too many spoilers since the show is running until September, but it was great fun to be plunged into Rydell High and watch the movie while a musical came to life around us. I particularly loved that I didn’t research anything beforehand, leaving the entire day to be a completely fresh experience. Must remember to do this more!

Healthy girl habits

As you read this, I’m two weeks into a healthy girl habits sprint. There’s a few reasons for this, but I won’t go into them now. For now, I’m loving the habit of drinking two big bottles of water a day, walking 10,000 steps per day, 2x weekly workouts, 1x weekly run, 1 weekly Reformer Pilates class, and supplementing with my CortiSoul drink and vitamins. I feel miles better already – long may it continue.

Welcome to The Life of a Showgirl era!

Between countless family get-togethers and other personal appointments, I’ve been SO excited for Taylor Swift’s newest album! The Life of a Showgirl era is nearly here and I am already thoroughly excited for every moment, every reveal and every song. I watched/listened to the Kelce brothers’ podcast on Thursday morning, practically foaming at the mouth at how nostalgic it felt for Taylor to be properly talking about her life, her music, her hobbies in marketing preparation for an album. Oh the pre-reputation years were such a joy! I’m really excited for Track 5, for obvious reasons. Which track are you most anticipating?

Back to cosy gaming

By taking care of my health and wellness a little, I’ve found a lovely benefit in having the headspace to relax and return to my beloved games again. Specifically, I am besotted with Tiny Bookshop at the moment, the perfect companion to my writing evenings. In this game, you’re the bookseller and owner of a tiny mobile bookshop. You must recommend customers books and complete mini quests, and it’s all gorgeously low-stakes and beautifully illustrated.
