Taylor by Taylor Swift, £28.50.

Another summer, another scent.

When news broke of Taylor Swift’s third fragrance landing on our shores this summer, I’d already pipped most to the post and duly noted the occasion in my diary. Her third fragrance is the eponymous Taylor by Taylor Swift and it makes a refreshing departure from the Wonderstruck perfume series.

Taylor by Taylor Swift is by far my favourite of the three fragrances. Whilst I am ever so slightly biased as a strong purveyor of all things Swift, I honestly think her tastes have come on in leaps and bounds – packaging aside that is.

The perfume is formulated with top and heart notes of lychee, tangerine and magnolia petals, paired with peony, hydrangeas and vanilla orchid (my three favourite flowers!). A base of sandalwood, apricot nectar, cashmere musk and soft woods stop it from veering too far into sickly sweet territory.

It certainly feels a lot like a late summer scent to me, but of course, I shall be rotating this throughout the year. The bottle, to me, leaves a lot to be desired with an odd multi-coloured swirl, pearl band and crystal stopper… I’d prefer a new colour variant of the previous two.
