Christmas is so close I can practically taste it.

Or is that the taste of yet another hot chocolate spiked with Baileys Almond? Either way, I am so excited for Christmas and the prospect of all the food and all the family. I signed off on Friday for the final time until January (granted I am working on the 1st, but let’s pretend that isn’t real…) and am currently in blog mode, gearing up for 2019 and figuring out where to steer my content next.

The Christmas food shop!

On Thursday, Harvey and I headed out to do our portion of the Christmas food shop. This year we’ve opted for a nut, lentil and soya Wellington which sounds absolutely amazing! We picked it up at Holland & Barrett in the chilled fridge, and I’ll of course report back on my findings 😉 We also drove over to London Colney to raid M&S of their party food. I didn’t realise they had such an amazing vegetarian and vegan selection until watching Naturally Stefanie’s video earlier in the week! We picked up some burger sliders, an ‘Oriental food’ tray (I’m a terrible Chinese person, sorry!) and an Applewood smoked sage and red onion stuffing. Bring on that roast!

Bullet journal love

As this week has mostly been about admin, work wise, I’ve managed to get my 2019 bullet journal up and running. I shared a snap on my Stories and then ended up adding it to my Instagram grid because it proved so popular!

I’ve written a full, probably-too-detailed post about it that’ll go live in the second week of January, but for now you can catch up with all things bujo over on my Instagram Highlights.

Thoughts on ‘What I Got For Christmas’

Like every year, I’m trying to work out whether or not I should share a ‘What I Got For Christmas’ post. I secretly LOVE reading these posts and watching the videos, but can’t decide whether or not to join in. I’m hoping to write one that shares both what I got and what I gave, if anybody is interested?

Dumplin’ and The Innocent Man

On Friday, I finally found some time in my diary to make use of that Netflix subscription that’s been burning a hole in my pocket whilst my schedule has been manic. As I didn’t have any client work to do, I didn’t ~need my second screen and used it instead to watch Dumplin’ and The Innocent Man.

First up, Dumplin’. I’d heard mixed reviews on Twitter but wanted to watch the film regardless. When I have my heart set on something, I’ll bloody well go and watch it thanks. And it was an ok film. But it did make me smile on a few occasions, despite being incredibly predictable. And can we talk about The Innocent Man?! I have so many thoughts on this! At first I was super confused about all the people involved, accused and interviewed, but now I’m three days deep into a Reddit research session so…
