Feels Like Spring (in Lockdown)

Blousy pink cherry blossom, magnolia and peonies, blooming quietly and untouched. A kiss of spring green leaves on every branch. Windows, thrown open; voile curtains billowing through sash glass. Glowy candyfloss sunset skies, enjoyed from home and not during a crowded commute. Coffee, iced, and topped with a Dalgona cloud. The smell of freshly baked bread, wafting down empty streets; a token of these times. New buds on tenderly cared-for plants. Rainbows, crayoned, painted, chalked, in support of our wonderful NHS, glimpsed during only-once-daily walks.
