Sundaze 207

This week I finished reading two books, made a billion pros and cons lists for Life Decisions, soaked up the sunshine and finally felt pretty happy. It’s been nice, and the beautiful weather we’re finally experiencing is certainly helping. I hadn’t planned to pen a Sundaze this week because part of me wants to savour everything for myself, but I’m also a big fan of preserving thoughts, so here we are again, for a little while longer at least.

As you read this, my family and I will be on our way to the seaside for a little day trip! We’ve been so excited to get away from our town and this feels like a good way to segue into normalcy, whatever that is. My new normal looks and feels so wildly different from what I even imagined or remembered, but I’m starting to come to terms with that. In fact, I’m kinda excited to see where things take me, and us all, next.

Glorious summer

With the summer weather looking like it’s here to stay, I feel so rejuvenated. My sister and I finally signed off on some & Chai launches, we’ve picked up running again (I’m aiming for three morning runs a week!), and I’m back to enjoying a little alone time at the lake. The past month has had me feeling inexplicably sad about ‘lost summer plans’ but I’m just realising now that they were never planned in the first place. Even if it feels like everybody has plans or people to see, I’ve always been my own best company and I’m ready for a glorious summer.

I’m 50% vaccinated!

Oh, and did I mention? I’m halfway vaccinated! I had my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer, fyi) on Thursday morning and it felt so monumental. It’s been hard to grasp the concept of being 492 days into a pandemic, but receiving a vaccine feels like a step forwards at least. I feel really grateful for being able to access it for free. And if you were wondering, my only side effects were a fever on the second day, and two days of a heavy/sore arm. Good times all ‘round!
