Open-hearted joys 開開心心 13
Happy September, friends!
Despite me doing everything I could to keep ahold of my beloved ‘august’, it’s ‘back to school’ season. From the sudden brisk chill to the overall feeling that I want to start fresh on some of my goals, the September start is certainly upon us. I’ve had a bit of an up-and-down week, but with lots of & Chai newness to look forward to and work goals to focus on, I feel perfectly rejuvenated.
There’s a lot to be said for appreciating the smaller, not necessarily finer details of the everyday mundane. Here’s to another list of petite, open-hearted joys, the moments that’ve brought and woven poetry to my days, this fortnight:
一. Easy and comfy school reunions after years and years apart.
二. Late August sunshine, streaming through slightly dusty windowpanes and my new Moonwitch Studios’ sun catchers.
三. Lunch and a big ol’ squishy cuddle with my girl Sarah.
四. Playing Garden Story, a comfy-cosy lo-fi adventure game that gives me all of the Zelda and Pokémon crossover vibes.
五. Surprise chocolates on my side of the bed.
六. Making bonafide day-out plans for September!
七. Our incredible new launch on & Chai today. Come and celebrate Mid-autumn Festival with us and our limited edition Mooncake Melts!
八. Date nights with myself, down at the lake.
九. When all of your pens perfectly fit inside the pen holder.
十. When they remember the smallest things about you.
