A girls’ night with ĒDGEU
Thanks to underwhelming weather, this summer hasn’t quite been the dreamy, boho, always-outdoors season that I’d planned for my friends and I. Garden parties and barbecues were quickly exchanged for rain macs at the pub, and we’ve all been hiding indoors.
One such evening involved a cosy mid-week girls’ night, which I don’t think we’ve indulged in in months! Adulting means we’re each usually otherwise occupied with chores, dinner-making, studying or dozing on the sofa. But, a week or two ago, we downed tools, packed cars with beauty treatments and all the snacks, and hunkered down for a good old fashioned girls’ night.
Films, gossip, a giant catch-up, vegan sweets and chips and dip, and mucking around with at-home beauty treatments was just what the doctor ordered.
What girls’ night would be complete without a tonne of pink sweets?!

There’s something so soul-soothing and life-affirming about spontaneous evenings in with friends. Between all of the stressors of everyday life right now and everything else that somehow stockpiles on, all in all, it was just the loveliest night to bid adieu to responsibilities, don the nice pyjamas and pretend to be pre-teens again.
