Today and today and today

It’s been nearly two decades since I started this blog and, today, I felt the urge to go all the way back to my roots and do a little daily blogging. I loved those early-adopter days where we’d all log in after our individually busy days and share a few musings on the day, along with – for me – some shoddily shot outfit photos. I loved not editing a thing, hitting ‘Publish’, and then returning 20 minutes later to start responding to comments, and leaving comments on my peers’ blogs. These days, posts are few and far between from my peers and I. I’m sad about that.

Eddie and I go away tomorrow with his family. We’re going on a big family holiday to Bali! Although, I’ve been before and found it to be a little soulless and overrun with tourists and Western expats. I’ve not been super excited about the trip, but I’m feeling exhausted from work and life lately, so now I’m just looking forward to a break! My week has, consequently, been full of squeezing in errands around my 9-5. And, of wearing all-black in 28°C heat because I’ve packed all of my hot-weather clothing. I do love a tonal ‘fit though, and I loved getting to debut my Prada Bonnie bag. Isn’t she cute? She is, however, a dupe (*gasps in Michelle the Bag Lover*). I made a decision almost a decade ago not to buy new leather when I first went vegan, and it’s something I’m still committed to. This little dupe is gorgeous, well-made and fits in perfectly with my style.

Wedding-planning is front of mind for us at the moment. We’ve a few more ‘big’ things to tick off, and then it’s all about the smaller details (like timings of the shuttle services we’re providing and picking wedding rings). Me? I’m just looking forward to trying another new café: Eddie and I vowed to turn wedding admin sessions into proper dates at new-to-us, local independent cafés. Cake, coffee, and productivity!

Anyway, I’d better sign off and start making some dinner! I’m still sat here in my post-Reformer Pilates get-up and really need to shower and cook and finish packing and and and…
