Sundaze 312: BIGBANG, autumn is here, and wedding updates

Happy Sundaze, my loves!
I come to you from our comfy sofa with Milo nestled at my feet. (He’s gently snoring.) September completely slipped away from me: I meant to write here more often but it’s been a month packed to the rafters with things. So, although I’d sat down ready to write a little more of my book, I thought that I’d feel better and more myself if I penned a Sundaze catch-up instead. Plus, I’m exhausted after staying out ‘late’ to see BIGBANG yesterday and my brain could do with some warming up!
The Tin Heritage Collection landed at & Chai

After many months (years, in fact, for one scent) of development, my sister and I launched our newest collection at & Chai. Five new fragrances housed in all-new tin vessels and wrapped in hand-illustrated labels. I am so proud of these ones. The scents are more grown-up and elevated. I really feel like they encapsulate our journeys both in life and as candle-makers. Shooting the new photos was a lot of fun, as well!
A weekend in Wales

My family and I spent a long weekend in Wales! It was my brother’s 34th birthday earlier this month, and we celebrated with a few days in the Brecon Beacons National Park. From cooking together to hiking, sharing mooncakes to chasing waterfalls, we had the most wholesome handful of days. I’m writing a little recap post (must finish that soon!). As I get older, I treasure these moments, memories and escapades more than ever.
BIGBANG XX:COSMOS 2026 in London

Last night, my sister and I headed to London for a very special occasion: we went to see our all-time favourite K-pop idols, BIGBANG, perform at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium! I’ve been a VIP (a fan of BIGBANG!) since their debut, and it was so special to see them at XX:COSMOS, their 20th anniversary world tour. They were, as ever, incredible, despite it being their first time performing sans T.O.P., and I genuinely had the best night singing, dancing and crying. I’m in complete shock at how twenty years have flown by since BIGBANG catapulted me into the K-pop fandom, and have been sitting in all my emotions ever since I got home.
Autumn is here
I’m a fan of all the seasons but, after a particularly sweltering and jam-packed summer, I’ve been anticipating autumn for a while. On Friday evening, I ceremoniously changed my wardrobes around and Eddie and I have been switching up our home décor – softer textures, warmer hues, plenty of layers. I’m particularly looking forward to toasting s’mores in the garden, stomping around nature reserves, celebrating Halloween and carving pumpkins, and making hearty soups and stews. How do you like to welcome in autumn?
Some more wedding updates
This month, we ate wedding cake samples, booked our legal ceremony, and chose our wedding bands! Wedding planning is so much fun that I’m a little sad that I’m ‘running out of’ things to plan. I bought a pair of shoes for my wedding day look, and everything really feels like it’s coming together now.
